You’ll never find a more conducive and loving environment for your kids. The staff and friendly, knowledgeable, and do EVERYTHING with the best interest of the children in mind.
Great child care for my twins, Hunter and Mason love the teachers and the lunches and the experienced teachers make this a very appealing daycare.
Has been 6 mo and no complaints from us or the boys.
I recently switched jobs and relocated to Katy and was very nervous about taking my son out of the only daycare he had ever been too.
I choose this daycare because as soon as I walked in I felt at peace, all the classrooms I walked by I saw teachers actively participating with the kids, and then I met Ms. Julie my sons teacher. She was very nice and caring. She is always asking how he is doing at home, and informing me how he is doing throughout the day. It’s nice to be in communication with the teachers, and to know that they do care about your child whether it’s at daycare or home. Ms. Julie is always striving to learn more about my son in order to take care of him properly.
Since my son has been attendance, I have notice a big change in him, when he comes home he’s not tired and grumpy (Like he had been with his old daycare), he’s happy. He can’t wait to tell me about all the different things they did that and how his friends and he played. He is always improving when it comes to helping clean up and listening to me.
I do agree with the below comment, parents do seem extremely busy. And although the daycare involves parents in many actives a lot are too busy to attend.
As for the first comment, I read it before I took a tour here. I was worried about the food; however the hot lunch option is very healthy. I chose for my son to bring his lunch two days a week and have a hot lunch three days.
My child has been at the ECEC for over 6 months. I cannot say enough great things about the owner's philosophy on child care and the quality and thoughtfulness of the teachers. The earlier review about the food is understandable because the menu is not as organic or healthy as other child care locations in the area. However, this can be explained because they do not have a full kitchen. If you ask, you can make alternate arrangements for your child’s nutrition and (for us) that has worked out for us perfectly. My experience has been even if the facility has a cook and all organic ingredients for the kids, it doesn’t mean anything if the teachers don’t love the children. You can always manage the nutrition in other ways. It’s the quality of the people in the organization that is important. They are the ones who are with your child for most of the day!
Every day when I walk in, all the teachers and para-teachers say hello to me. They know my name as well as my daughter’s name. They always tell me about her day (because they know I care to ask) and the atmosphere is one of love.
My only comment (and the four stars) is that I haven’t seen as much parent involvement with the children as at previous day cares I’ve been too. And this has nothing to do with the ECEC. They present many opportunities for parents to be involved with the kids. My comment is that when I show up to the Easter Egg hunt, I’m the only parent! For the Mother’s Day activity…only three of us out of 10 showed up. My husband was the only one who participated in the Father’s Day breakfast. A sad statement on how busy parents get that they forget to take a moment and spend time with their kids at these brief opportunities (We both work full time. I just take an hour off and go to the event). This observation may be due to the location (behind Katy Mills Mall) but that is about to change soon (they’ll be west of 99 in August 2013).
I’ve recommended this to other friends. Most of the children at this facility are related to the teachers or are there by word of mouth. I highly recommend this pre-school.
