(February 21, 2018, 5:45 am)This is a great school to train at for all levels of experience. I trained here for 4 months this summer and lost about 20 lbs. I competed with their team at Houston Grand Prix and took 1st Place in the White Belt Absolute Division. I would have never been so successful if it wasn't for the high level of instruction and training that I received here under Coach Danial.
They have a really good pro shop and sell their own brand of gi called Maozinha, its probably the most comfortable gi I've ever worn. Their BTT Gi's fit perfectly too which is very rare as I'm almost 300 lbs.
Their matts are cleaned several times a day, and they have full size bathroom and shower.
They are located in a warehouse district so there is lots of parking, and easily accessible off of the Northbound 45.
They are also next door to the Woodlands Strength & Conditioning if you like to get your fit on before or after class.
They offer classes several times a day, but one class was enough for me per day.
There are all kinds of students training here from LEO, Firefighters, EMT, Doctors, Lawyers, MMA Fighters, Students, Women, Children, etc. so you will have no problem finding a training partner that you feel comfortable with.
The classes are intense, but you will find that certain days can be a better fit for you, while other days are more challenging.
Cost $$: Very affordable and competitive pricing compared to the other gyms in the area.
Instructors: Coach Danial is the highest ranking Black Belt in North Houston, and has coached several UFC fighters all around the world. He has competed at the highest levels of competition in Brazil, UAE, California and Texas.
Students: Very friendly and helpful, all sizes and abilities present.
Amenities: Full amenities with bathroom, water, shower, parking etc.
Cons: I found no cons with this school and team. -

(June 15, 2017, 11:25 am)I recently began training with Instructor Daniel and Team Maozinha after being away for some time. Immediately when I came into the school, I felt right at home. Daniel is an excellent coach and is very detail oriented. His approach to teaching is appreciated and he is respected by his students but also very approachable. The structure of the class is good to cover all levels of technique. The students are respectful and willing to help and guide you through techniques, with a good range of skill levels. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to start or continue training.
