Urban Birth: modern birth alternatives

Courtneay was an absolute pleasure to work with. I came into her care very late into my pregnancy and yet she made me feel like she knew me from day 1. She is very caring and compassionate, she makes you feel like a friend rather then another client. She loved my family which is a huge deal! I ended up needing to go to the hospital after if hrs of laboring but Courtneay made sure she stayed by my side and helped us welcome our baby boy! If I had any more babies I would definitely return to her care, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a midwife and a natural home birth. Thank you so much Courtneay :)

I’m so thankful that we were recommended to Courtneay. She is a tremendous midwife. The first time we met she was so sweet and listened attentively to all of our needs and wants. She never pushed any of her opinions on us, but at the same time she was very clear about anything factual that may have harmed our baby or me and encouraged me to make good choices: including my diet, home remedies, supplements, versions, and more... She did research and provided me with links to any questions I had that she was unsure about.
She was always willing to listen me, and as a mom who spends all of her home at time with children that meant so much to me. We are new to the state of Texas, and she was a friend to me in the middle of a life change on top of a pregnancy. I don’t know if I can describe in words how very thankful I am to her for that.
Courtneay was very prepared for my labor and made sure everything was in line for the big day. She also gave me a list of things to do so I was completely prepared. We ended up needing to go to the ER because of unavoidable circumstances, but Courtneay was calm and went with me through everything that they would allow her to. She also made my husband comfortable when he was apprehensive about home birth.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to have their little one at home. I’ve had three previous cesareans and two previous vaginal births, and after making sure I fit the criteria, she was willing to be my midwife when many wouldn’t give me the chance of natural labor at home.

I just had my 2 week postpartum check up with Courtneay and I have to say she is an amazing midwife. I transferred late into her care, and was so happy with the change and how well she took care of me.
She is extremely organized, has great resources, and is very knowledgeable. One of my favorite documents in the binder she gave me at my first visit was the nutrition sheet. Which I greatly needed. She closely monitored my nutrition and gave me specific lists of all the foods and supplements that would benefit me. She called and checked up on me to make sure I was taking all the supplements and eating all the right foods.
At my baby’s birth she was well prepared and made me feel confident and calm.
She’s a caring and passionate individual and I can’t wait to have more babies under her care.
