Fun, neat place to eat. Very relaxing with a modern feel. And the chicken and grits were beyond amazing. Probably the best piece of chicken I’ve ever had. Great char on it, super moist and the perfect amount of saltiness. The grits were amazing too. It comes with a pile of chard or collared greens that I took off bc I’m allergic but my wife tasted it and said they were bitter and would’ve been better left off or replaced with green beans. My wife had the crab cake which she’s been dying to find a good one and loved it. I tried a bite as well and was superb. We also tried the smoked purple carrots as an appetizer. Very interesting. Fun to try but the sauce or seasoning was just too much for my palate. Too much chili/cumin flavor.
Outside of that the service was phenomenal as well. Clean bathrooms. We were able to take our wine bottle to go and they packed up our leftovers. No complaints at all, really neat place to eat I highly suggest.

This is our third visit, and The Pear is definitely one of our favorite joint in town! Chicken and grits is my favorite. It's wonderfully hearty and always served sizzling hot. But just a note to the kitchen: green beans or asparagus are so much better than chard. Chard made the whole plate a little bitter. The crab cake, chicken and waffles, and the Reuben are very tasty as well. For dessert, my husband gets the cookies and cream every time. Would love to try their mac & cheese and the beer cheese soup on our next visit! The staff is always friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating is a must on a sunny day, but indoor is cozy and comfortable any day. If you're in town, be sure to visit this place!

First time here this past Sunday, celebrating our oldest daughter's recent birthday. We had a very enjoyable experience for Sunday brunch. We were seated after a short wait, had great table service, and all the food was excellent with great presentation. We observed a lot of the other plates and drinks going to others around us and all of it looked good. On Sundays they only use their brunch menu vice the full one, but there was plenty to choose from and all sounded great.

Three of us had the chicken and waffles with an unusual made-in-house sorghum-based syrup. Very good, and different. My wife had the triple scoop salad, choosing three different salads. She said they were all really good.

The venue itself was great. We chose to stay inside due to the heat, but they have a nice deck looking out onto the trees toward Cypress Creek. They had misters going, and there was a breeze, so probably would have been okay, but will give it a try in the fall when temps a bit more moderate. We definitely will come back and try other items on the menu. Great first time visit.

Good food and good service. Everything was good with the exception of the outside water misters which continuously soaked the tables and floor if you sit outside. We spent a good portion of the time trying to keep our items and food dry on the table. Other than that, this is a pretty chill place to spend the afternoon.

The Chicken n Grits(sub for Mashed Potatoes) was so delicious! The chicken is so tender and juicy and has such an amazing flavor to it. And the mashed potatoes do too unfortunately my girlfriend let them take my plate too early while I was in the restroom so I couldn’t get to enjoy the last of the mashed potatoes ☹️ overall I’d definitely come back!
