(August 17, 2018, 4:11 pm)This place kicked my butt! It was nice to get out of my usual routine and mix it up. Also, it's not like a typical class - no one is leading the class per se. There is an instructor there pushing you along, directing you if you don't know which station you're at, and making sure you're doing things right. But it's a go at your pace, tough work out. Definitely something to at least try once!

I was really nervous about going to F45 my first time. I'm out of shape and I thought I would literally die. I couldn't even do 7 min. on an elliptical without having to use my inhaler...so I was nervous.
I signed up for the free trial about 2 weeks ago and finally made myself go. Signed up for the 615 am because that class didn't have a lot of people sign up, so I would make a fool of myself in front of less people. 545am came around and I cancelled the class and signed up for the 445pm class. 7 people had signed up...ok. I'm going. All day, I kept watching the clock...it's almost time. What is wrong with me...I'm usually not nervous about going to a gym, but I knew this was going to be different.
I'm there. I walk in a no one. Then I see Jimmy appear from the back. I found out his name after I made sure I told him this was my first time and I was nervous...not having the confidence in myself. Making excuses of why i may not be able to do something...
Long story short...too late. :)
Jimmy was awesome. I didn't feel like I was judged by anyone...He explained how everything works and if I couldn't do something and I just rested he wouldn't be mad at me.???? The circuit starts and we're off. I watched people and the screen to see what was going on. You could tell the ones that know the drill but I never felt awkward. I did all stations. I may have rested a lot more towards the end and did the modified versions. But I did what I could do and I did it all. I was sweating and I can feel the soreness wanting to come in but I'll be back tomorrow.
I've never done Cross fit so I cant compare that but to a regular gym, F45 will push you to do things you wouldn't do and get you out your comfort zone. Definitely worth a try not matter what shape you are in. -
