Wow, so my wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. She flew to California and left me home alone, and being the typical male, I was lost on what to cook and had run out of readily available junk food and I was starving, barely surviving, on my last leg, neighbor's dog was even looking tasty, but I was barely able to muster enough energy to drive here. I was greeted by Drake, the owner and he made a few suggestions. I went with a sandwich suggestion (was too malnourished to recall the name) but it had brisket, sausage, and pulled pork. It came with all the fixins, jalapenos, onions, and pickles, and a good side of proper potato salad. This sandwich was the bomb! Everything was super tasty and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I have had. They have Yellow Rose on tap and this was a great pairing. Even had the pleasure of getting to know Drake and he is a good person. If you have not tried this place, I suggest you pass up the big names like the red building that just starts with an "R" and give Drake and The Bluebonnet Beer Garden a try. Thanks for the great B.B.Q. Drake..

The BBQ whisperer resides here. Look no further! This was our first time visiting and we were pleasantly surprised. The BBQ is the best I've ever had and I've had plenty. All the various meats were tender, moist, and cooked to perfection. The sides are made from custom in house recipes and were the best we've ever had. The beans and creamed corn were excellent and the potato salad was delicious. We loved the sauce, too, just right. We've eaten at Pappas BBQ, Killeens, Salt Lick in Driftwood, etc... and they don't come near to being as good as this place. I recommend getting the meat platters. They come in 2 prices: $60 and $45. They are stuffed full of meat and worth every penny. We think it's the best value on the menu for the amount of meat you receive. The indoor interior is clean, open, high ceilings with good air flow. There are a couple of outdoor tables but you don't really need them because inside is breezy with the big barn type doors raised on both sides and the front entrance door open, too. There is a shuffle board on one side. For dessert, we had the cream cheese covered with raspberry sauce served with crackers for dessert. It was soooo good. Drake is the owner and a BBQ savant! He's is friendly with a great personality and makes sure everyone is happy. We will definitely be back!

Great new BBQ place in our area! We ordered the ribs, they literally fell off the bone. We also ordered a chopped brisket sandwich. Both meats were tender and had great flavor. The pickled onions and pickles were an amazing addition. Each order comes with a side, a drink, and chips. They have several different sized plates to choose from. We chose the potato salad as our sides, and it didn't disappoint. Beers on tap and a cute patio! Definitely recommend giving them a try!

Really good 'cue for a place in it's infancy.
I especially liked the ribs and while the sausage isn't house made like most craft bbq places it's very good!
The side I got, jalapeno cream corn, was delicious!
Brisket was well rendered and everything was seasoned well.
The owner was nice, polite and personable.
Can't believe he's pulling off this quality of meat on the little smoker that's out back!
They had several handles of craft beer on tap, not sure how many, didn't look as I was eating lunch in between jobs.
Love the decor, very pro America forward, so if that's not your thing, maybe don't go there???
Can't wait to see what these guys bring in the future!
    Give them a try!

This place is fairly new and a hidden gem. The staff are all so friendly and the food is fabulous. Juicy succulent brisket, homemade potato salad is so tasty. Great selection of beers and nothing beats the pecan pie to finish it all of in style. Be back soon. It’s been emotional.
