Waves Resort Corpus Christi

The place is closed due to the coronavirus, but the travel agency who's site it is on is not updated and booked and charged my account anyway. fortunatly mr Solis was able to get us into a nearby place at a similar price. Now I just have to wait for my travel agency to refund my account.

Went to Waves resort to attend the annual Kiwanis bingo in support of children's programs. The resort itself is bright, modern, spacious and has interesting rustic decor made from reclaimed trees and stumps. There's a restaurant and bar on the main floor by the entrance. The bingo was held in a hall on the second floor courtesy of the resort. The resort had beverages and light meals available for purchase in the hall. It was a very suitable venue for the event and participants had a lot of fun.

If you like tubing and booze (can't do both at the same time though). If you like bars in the middle of the water you have to swim to. If you like sunning by the water and order food and booze. This is the place for you.

The outside looks kind of... Old?? But man is this a nice place for the money. Room was very clean and looked great. If you have video gamers, the gaming lounge IS A MUST! I wasn't a fan of the restaurant, though.

They got this vacation thing down to a science! Cecilia said the beds were the best and she wasn't wrong. She got me set up so I could have my water view and a bathtub! The folks in the kitchen were on it too. Had a fabulous breakfast and then a super hamburger and the prices were good. So grateful this was an option when my camping plans got washed out.
