Best State Park yet, lake water was great, had a steady slope so it was good for kids. Pet friendly for water access, Good well lighted fishing pier. Only a few miles from town for supplies. Only 35 minutes to coast for beach. Hot water showers, clean restrooms. Access to lake anywhere, lots of room. Picnic tables covered.
Stayed here with my family of 3 and dogs. We will coming back and soon. Great park, clean and very peaceful feeling. We didn’t use the bathhouse as we stayed in our travel trailer but everything else was perfect. RV sites are mostly leveled in a pull through paved and concrete pad but is mostly dirt. Must of them have a picnic table in concrete slab and with aluminum shelter so you don’t have the sun on top of you while eating outside. We stayed in site 27, has shadows and no neighbors in the back. Be aware that you are camping in nature, a lot of ants around I recommend to wear closed shoes. Really amazing park.
This lake and camp ground is beautiful. The camp sits are large and the water is lovely. They have water hook up and the bathrooms are very clean. Their are alot of ants on some of the sits and the hiking trails are short.
I LOVE this state park. Fishing, swimming, kayaking/paddle boarding, boating, camping, boating etc. are all great here! but the GEM of this park is the AMAZING STAFFFFFF. We camp here a LOT as travelers and the staff pointedly remembered my name, my kids (junior Rangers now) and what our favorite campsites are. Dawn is the only gal I know by name but every single staffer I’ve met at Lake Corpus is helpful, patient, fun and gives you that good ole’ southern kindness. Thank you, Lake Corpus SP Staff for being you! Felt the need to give y’all a shout out.
