Dr. Joseph H. Kay Jr, MD

I started off with Dr. Kay and transitioned to his PA Mark. They are both great and take the time to listen to your concerns and really try to implement a plan to help you. You can tell they care about their clients. Their medical assistants are very nice, helpful and professional. I highly recommended this group!

In the later part of August of this year, my wife and I were on a two-week driving trip through northern Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Then we started south to fly out of Detroit. But I suddenly lost feeling in my right leg with excruciating pain in my lower back. I was in a wheelchair at the Detroit Airport, but first called Dr. Kay's office. They got me in the very next day (a Friday) and scheduled a high priority MRI for the next Tuesday. The result was that I had a bulging disc that was putting pressure on my spinal cord and nearly paralyzing my right leg. Dr. Kay scheduled me immediately for an injection into my lower back. Then he prescribed physical therapy. The end result is that I have now been pain free for three months and no further issues with my leg. Dr. Kay's concern and immediate reaction when I first called from Michigan was amazing. His fast action got me pain free and it has continued with time.

I have been going to Dr. Kay for a few years now. Everyone has always treated me with kindness. His nurse Althea has been great with anything I have requested. They always takes the time to answer my questions. Everyone on his staff are patient and understanding. I just recommended Dr. Kay to a friend. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kay and his staff.

I have suffered for four years with b both back and leg pain. Dr. Kay was the first Dr to explain what was going on with my back. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and not be in pain. This has added a much better way to enjoy life

Dr. Kay is a very kind and compassionate listener. He always keeps up with the latest type of treatment and gets training so he can use innovative ways to treat his patients. He continues to educate himself and educate his patients about their conditions. I highly recommend him.
