I have known Dr. Green for almost 20 years. He has always looked out after my best interest. I may not like some of his recommendations, but he has never guided me wrong.
I asked him one day why I was so prone to relapsing. His words are still close to me. He said, “Jeff, it’s pride.” I have been without a drink for almost 5 years, and I’m still learning what that means.
I owe him a debt of gratitude. I hope and pray I can continue living in the present, because that’s the only way I know how to live a day without a need for a drink. Thanks Dr. Green!!!
