When I opened the door, I was surprised to find a woman (Lois) who introduced herself and then her male companion (Bryan). When I showed her the problem, she crawled under the kitchen sink, checked, took some pictures, diagnosed the problem. After going for the required parts, the two returned and Lois installed the parts to end the leak, again taking a picture to demonstrate the repair. When I asked about another plumbing task, Lois described how I could do it myself. Lois was enthusiastic about her task and clearly enjoyed the opportunity to share with me how I could do something as well. It was refreshing to encounter a woman doing a project traditionally held by men. I hope seeing Lois will encourage other women and girls to consider non-traditional occupations. I suggest this business; Lois and Bryan were professional, neat, and respectful.
