(September 2, 2021, 9:08 pm)Was in need of a jag of firewood during our recent camping trip in Ruidoso. Called David at Gourmet Firewood for help after which he promptly solved our problem. The firewood was good quality pine and the area was beautiful. David was very hospitable and provided a lot of advice about the area. We look forward to visiting in the future and will be getting all of our firewood from David @ Gourmet Firewood.

(February 17, 2021, 7:32 am)I’ve purchased oak from here for my pizza oven for 6 months and been very satisfied. Two weeks ago I purchased 5 bags of oak and one cherry. The oak wood is so wet that even after 2 weeks stored in a garage it still will not maintain a fire. I have video of water steaming out of the end of the logs in the oven. This batch was definitely not kiln dried! The cherry burns great.
Updated to say since that one time I’ve never had any more problems with the wood. They will even test it if you want. Upgraded my review! -

(May 15, 2018, 9:26 am)Friendly staff. Hardwood mulch price is much cheaper than Home Depot and much, much cheaper than nearby Weston Gardens. It is sold by the cubic yard, loaded by front end loader into a trailer I was told. GI don't know if you can shovel a smaller quantity.) I'm going to buy some!!
