It's a great park and well maintained. They have $10 entry per vehicle... Lots of food tables and it's covered so no worry of sun and raining which is good... Also there are many small beaches to play and swim. Definitely a great place for a Family outing.

Visited on a Tuesday morning. No crowds. Plenty of parking inside after paying $10 fee with same day re-entry is permissable but it's not guaranteed (annual pass is available). Parking ends at the trails. It's peaceful sitting at the water's edge and listening to it if you're not going into the water.
There is a map, bike pump & restrooms. Kayak and paddle board rentals (not sure if life vests are included with those rentals). We didn't walk further up on the northshore trail but it is possible. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bug spray, snacks & bring plenty of water for the journey. The negatives: food wrappers and trash left behind from visitors. Debris washed up on the shore should be picked up by park officials. Enjoy!

The front area of the park is very busy but once you venture onto the trails it is much more peaceful and relaxing with great views. We expected the $10 per car cost and happy to pay it if it means a clean park but we were surprised that for Memorial Day weekend the cost was $20 and no military / veteran discount. We did not spend much time in the pavilion area due to the crowd but minus a few areas that needed attention (random lost water bottles and a huge tracker tire) the trails were clean. Will return and definitely recommend.

My first time visiting this park. So I had a very different experience that I wasn't expecting. I didn't know what kind of park we were visiting today. It's a big place with lots of covered spaces with benches for people to sit under the shade. Have barbecue spaces , lots of big trees to hang a hammock/swing. It's near the shore ,you can see the lake ,and even go in the water to swim. Of course I didn't know any of these so I was unprepared. I suggest you bring a hammock and rope to enjoy the beautiful breeze here. If you would like to go into the water bring towels, swim suits and sandals. It got really crowded in the afternoon so come early to find a perfect spot and enjoy the quiet environment as well.
The cons about this place were normally entry fee was 10$ but since it's a holiday season now they are asking 20$ per car ,this doesn't make sense at all. Increasing twice as much is being greedy I think. And even though there weren't that many people the parking lots were already full that's why we had to park our car near the road which doesn't look good and risky because the road is already tight.
If you have your boat bring it,you will enjoy it a lot otherwise you can rent it here at the entrance store. Hope this helps everyone to get prepared. Overall it was a beautiful place to enjoy your whole day with family and friends

We planned to visit Stone Creek Park in th3 Flower Mound. It was no bad but not what we expected from photos especially in early spring. So we started to look for alternatives nearby and across this one

The park does charges an entrance fee but it was worth it. The facility is nice, lake water is clean and the best thing was a long trail to hike.
