Spent three nights with the fiancé. It was amazing. Peaceful, great food, and great activities. Over three days we:
- Painted a horse as a living canvas
- Horseback riding
- Archery class
- Two massages each
- Kayaked Lake Travis
- Pool exercise class
- Muscle rolling class
- Three different cocktail and spirits classes
- Saw the sunrise from the infinity pools and swam laps
- Moonlight meditation classes
- Probably missing things
The food was the best I ever had. Everyone was very kind and basically treated you wonderfully.
We did a day pass here at the Miravl Austin. I started the day with some axe throwing and then onto a massage. I have to say, the massage was one of the best massages I’ve ever had and I’ve had quite a few in my life.
The “free lunch” with the day pass was buffet style and was mediocre at best.
Overall, everything was on the pricier side and had a pretty good experience, just not sure it was worth it to do it again.
Loved the resort and the people. Everyone was so nice. I came for a group retreat so we had our own programming but there are also plenty of classes and things to do. I will say however, that our group meals were underwhelming. There was a great buffet so we could have easily gotten our food from the buffet then retired to our group’s room. Our catered meals were cold and tasteless. I’d return in a heartbeat to this wonderful facility.
The team is what makes Miraval special. Chef Ben helped make our trip an experience. It was great to get to know him as a person. He took time out to care about my daughter and I as individuals and not customers. Lee in the stables was awesome and was one of the reasons I returned so quickly. Kait made aerial yoga a ton of fun while still being incredibly safe. JJ was a wonderful archery teacher who turned it into a experience. Karen was super helpful in optimizing our schedule. Great relaxation.
