Mendez Middle School

My memories at this school are amazingly unforgettable

i love the after school programs and electives and the teachers are nice and expirenced and we at mendez are very good

After reading these reviews, I felt obligated to to write one as well... While some of these reviews may have some truth behind it, a lot is over exaggerated...
I have 3 children who have and are currently going to Mendez. My 8th grader is going on his 3rd year and their has NEVER been a food fight! A lot of talk that their will be on one the last day of school but again, JUST TALK...
I'm pretty sure there are drugs at EVERY SCHOOL, seeing my child went to a charter school for one semester and was offered drugs in the bathroom...
Fights are at every school...
As for making out, those children who choose to degrade their body and make their self look trashy, choose that lifestyle and should stop degrading their self and should focus on self control to resist the temptation. This has NOTHING to do with the school nor the teachers. The one to blame is the CHILD who is participating in these actions!!!
It's not the location of the school, the teachers at the school, but the child to hold at fault. My children stay active in sports, make great grades even honor roll. I have found out that the MAVERICK STAFF is loving, caring, and truly wants the best for the children they are teaching. From the office staff to the cafeteria, I have had nothing but RESPECT and SUPPORT!!!
My daughter went there for 3 years and this year she will be graduating from Akins. CLASS OF 2017!!!
For all the Maverick teachers & staff who helped molded her into the responsible, intriguing, & beautiful young lady she is today, THANK YOU!!!
For the parents who post such nonsense about this school, you may need to CHECK YOUR CHILD OR YOURSELF!!! YOU are the parent and they need a role model they can look up to or a hobby, so they do not have too much time on their hands and they will not get into trouble....
