Taste of Ethiopia I

What a delicious experience! First time trying and I'm definitely going back.

The fun part was not using any utensils and just using the fermented bread/tortilla? I don't know that's just the best way for me to describe it. I was told it typically runs spicy so I requested a milder taste and they hit it on the mark.

The service was quick and helpful and the atmosphere was very quaint with objects from the area they were representing.

The food was unlike anything I have ever eaten. I brought a friend because I heard great things and they were absolutely spot on! My friend and I had an incredible experience here. The food was delicious, the coffee was remarkable, the service really tied a beautiful ribbon on how pleased we were leaving this restaurant with the desire to come back again on another special day.

Absolutely delicious! We got the vegetarian platter for 2, an appetizer, and a portion of meat. It fed my family of two adults and two kids. The food was very flavorful- my favorite was the cabbage and the beef.

Staff was very kind and the restaurant is decorated nicely. My only complaint is the restrooms were a bit dirty.

I highly recommend this place especially if you’ve never tried Ethiopian food before!

I was visiting Austin and had a craving for Ethiopian food. This restaurant was nearby and so I stopped in. The owner and the service were delightful. The pride of ownership and eagerness to share the culture was evident in all aspects of the experience. The beer was cold, everyone was friendly, and the food was delicious. I'll definitely stop in again the next time I'm in town.

What a great experience trying something new! Amazing vegetarian selections, served with the coolest "bread" and way of eating! The honey wine was unique (and strong!) and the coffee was so good, not served with cream but I put sugar. Yet just like they said it was perfect. Would highly recommend and hope to be back!
