This is a fantastic school with amazing teachers and administrative staff. Here are a few highlights:
    1. How they handled the pandemic- amazing! Yes, they had to close down like everyone else, however, the created (if you wanted to participate) home pods- where groups of dedicated 2-3 kids met at a single house and still had the opportunity to learn. There were of course rules- like ongoing quarantining etc, but this gave the kids the ability to still engage- safely. And for toddlers, this is really important. Lets be real- a computer screen teaches nothing to a 2 year old!
    2. When I was pregnant with number 2- they were always super accommodating. After she was born, they sent us a nice gift of food- which was super helpful since the toddler was always hungry!
    3. "SnowVid" 2021- aka when the wonderful winter storm hit texas in Feb(?). They still did what they could, very quickly got zoom times going and then when they discovered that the actual school had damage, had a plan in place. In fact, it was so well organized, that we didnt feel the missing time from the school. They were able to partner with one of their sister campus' and move entire classrooms together, with the same teachers, to that school until the construction repair work can be completed.
And - to top it off- which speaks volumes to me- they were the ones who had to do the move, and yet as a "we know this is a stressful time for parents" gesture- they provided coffee and snacks to the parents the first week.
    4. Communication. Sadly we have been to other "montessori" schools in the area prior to coming here- and can attest that communication seems to be a struggling point for most schools. Not Guidepost. we get a weekly email from the teacher, daily photo updates, updates from the admin team each week and then special communication if and when needed. If there was a chance for any exposure to Covid, email is sent out with as many details as possible, to allow parents the ability to make an informed choice. Note that these exposures could be in the form of a "A teachers family member was exposed" or "A families family member tested positive and is now quarantining." The point being that regardless of actual exposure or not, they are very open and ensure that the parents have as much information as possible. I really appreciate the constant feedback we get from the classroom as well. I can see daily the changes my daughter is going through and when discussing with her teacher, we are clear partners in her ongoing development.

It takes a lot to be willing and able to give back to the community as they do. I feel like the entire staff honestly believe we are one giant community and they will go to all lengths to ensure that the community has a whole prospers while also maintaining the individuality of the child and the child needs. They truly encompass the beliefs of Maria Montessori- while also embracing the advances of technology that 2021 allows them to utilize. I encourage all parents to consider this school as it is by far the best in the area!

My son has been apart of the elementary program at Brushy Creek for about a month now and the growth I’ve seen so far is AMAZING! Ms. Areli has made my child love learning again, and her classroom is structured to make sure the child is successful!

Her assistant Mr. Michael is very engaging and provides lots of fun on the playground (as my child puts it “ he’s cool”!)

If you are looking for a school that cares about your child as much as you do LOOK NO FURTHER! Thank you Brushy Creek! I appreciate you all!

My granddaughter has been a student for over a year, and I am constantly impressed and pleased with the quality of education and the level of communication. The classroom guides are knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. The administration team is responsive, hardworking, and committed to providing each student (and family) an amazing and positive Montessori experience. I am so amazed at how my granddaughter has been challenged to grow, and nurtured in the process. I highly recommend Guidepost Montessori at Brushy Creek, check them out, you will not be disappointed.

My son is in the toddler program and learning so much! His vocabulary has increased exponentially, from just knowing about 30 words to forming simple phrases and talking more with us. I love that they keep track of all the concepts he is working on and how he is introduced to new activities to keep him engaged. Everyone is super friendly, from the moment that we drop him off, to the interactions with his teachers, and when we pick him up. Mrs. Sara is super sweet and sends us a daily report on the activities he did and what he enjoyed the most.

The school has taken a lot of precautions during COVID-19, including temperature checks, spraying his lunchbox, washing hands, and no shoes policy. Their school won an award for best practices recently!

    Way to go!

We are so happy to have found Guidepost for our son. This was his first time in a school and we wanted to make sure he'd be in a place where he could find joy in learning from this early age (he is 2). It's easy to see that everyone working here is passionate about the Montessori philosophy, the children and providing everyone with a positive and enriching experience. We love watching our child grow and enjoy learning here with the guidance of the wonderful teachers. They truly are a huge support for us as parents as well. I always feel reassured that my child is in great hands.
