  This place I pass on my way home everyday. Finally stopped by after getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Good prices for some good home made soup. Regret not going sooner.

  Well let me just say the crab balls were amazing!!!! The she crab was creamy and flavorful however it didn’t taste like she crab soup to me. It tasted like chicken and dumplings with crab meat. Nonetheless I still was NOT disappointed. Yummy!

  Soup Queen and Catering Manager for this establishment, making about 90% of these Soups and other items as well. We use fresh ingredients, items made fresh daily. I see there are some negative comments, but most of them are lies. You can tell because out of all the beautiful comments we receive you have one or two people who try to smudge our reputation. We use 1lb of lump crab meat in each kettle of She Crab soup; we do not use imitation crab or fish in any soups. Our beans are cooked with smoked turkey and seasoned thoroughly. We cook all of our meats in the pressure cooker to ensure tenderness; no tough Beef or raw chicken over here. We only use chicken breast in our chicken soups and chicken salad. We use quality Beef in our Beef soups. We use quality smoked and Italian sausage in our other soups. We slice all of our deli meats and cheeses. We wash and prepare all of our veggies. We do not make our salad dressings, cakes or bread but we do bake our cornbread fresh. The quality of our food is impeccable and the service is outstanding. We make our crab cakes with lump crab and only enough filler to bind them. If you have not experienced Soups Plus, come in and see why we won the most awards in Chesapeake from the Virginian Pilot's Best of Contest in 2018 (7 Awards total), including The Best She Crab Soup in Chesapeake. We were also named one of the 10 Best Soup Places in Virginia (March 2019). As always, you can sample the soups to see what's new or help you narrow down choices.
