James River Physical Therapy

Dan is great. Give great advice and instruction. I came in barely able to walk a block, now I can walk no pain around the neighborhood and do my lawn chores without stopping. I feel great and will keep up the routine.

I am very thankful that I chose James River PT for my therapy, and I’m very grateful to have worked with Dan on my significant shoulder issues. He was very willing to work with my schedule, gave me a detailed treatment plan, and provided specific training on how to get the best results. Dan is truly a PT professional with personal knowledge and experience in all aspects of physical recovery primarily from sports injuries, but which translates well in rehabilitation from joint surgeries. He takes a personal approach to the needs and goals of the individual and adapts a PT plan that will meet the individual's pace of recovery from injury or surgery. Being a one-person business is a plus for the client, because Dan is able to evaluate and adapt treatment based on personal observation rather than relying on feedback from a PT Technician in a large Rehab group. I highly recommend James River PT to anyone seeking rehabilitation from joint surgery or a sports injury.

My experience with James River Physial Therapy has been excellent. I have MS and went to Dan for physical therapy to strengthen my leg, after a couple of sessions Dan felt there was another issue with my hip ,other than MS.
After an MRI it was determined that I needed a full hip relacement. That was a game changer! It was a tough rehab but
because of Dans excellent knowledge and experience he was pivotal in expediting my healing progress. I hope I don't need Dan's services in the future but if I do, I would definitely use James River Physical Therapy.

Dan List was highly recommended by my orthopedic surgeon and is the most patient, knowledgeable, encouraging therapist that I have worked with. Not only is this office convenient, but I also progressed rapidly following his instructions while using printouts and drawings to practice at home. I worked closely with him briefly for a shoulder issue, and then for a full recover after knee replacement. I highly recommend this office for physical therapy, for any age group.
