  Didn't visit the lodge, but did the hike and it was awesome! My 3.5 year old was able to do it all on his own without us having to carry him. #nature #exploreoutside #daytrip

  I love this place. We have a search and rescue retreat here every January and it's a nice cozy place to do it. Great hiking trails and a nice cliff over looking the valley too.

  This is one of the only places in this area to get an amazing sunset view, and you don't even need to hike very far. You can park at the top if you follow Blue Mountain Road to the visitors center. It's 3 dollars donation to park, but it goes to a good cause and you can avoid hiking uphill. They also have a primitive camping area near the parking lot. The castle also doubles as a hostel for long distance hikers.

  Absolutely beautiful area. Part of the Appalachian trail. It's about a 10 minute hike down to the overlook. Not really much for major hikers, but if you want to go and spend some time in nature with a great view, it's an easy spot to go, and beautiful.

  Nice place to hike. Beautiful overlook. Trails are nice. Clean place. Decent camp sites but some close to trails.
