  There are several hiking trails where bikes are not allowed. Look at the map, the MTB trail is the purple loop. Head past the trail head and turn left on the gravel path and it will take you to the singletrack. Trail can be ridden in either direction. Very smooth and rolling

  This is a great "Free" place to go mountain biking in the DC area. Let me say up front this place can be as easy as you would like it to be or as challenging as a professional MTB'er.
  
  I consider myself ordinarily average using gym clothes, motorcycles gloves and sneakers to ride and have a blast. While in great shape physically I am a mere mortal when it comes to the aggressive and very technical terrain Meadowood has to offer. My 29'er is up to the task me however, not always. I have bit it more times than I would like to admit.
  
  Even my novice MTB'er girlfriend enjoys her time slowly climbing and descending the trails here but it can be a lot to handle and she has digressed from me to kissing a few trees now and again.
  
  Anyways - This is a free place to ride, free place to park and its clean, clean, clean. My upmost respect to all those volunteers that make this place what it is, job well done folks.
  
  Back to the trails, there are some really cool and very technical manmade trail enhancement placing the rider almost 45 degrees, take a look at the pictures and you’ll see what I mean. This is a great way to stay in shape over the weekend, keep kids active, healthy and moving and more importantly – out of trouble. Way to go Meadowood Trail team, we’ll be back again and again!

  Great small local trails 3-4 mile loop. Beginner to intermediate level.

  Very impressed! The trails are clean, pretty well marked, but more than anything they have great inclines and declines, which won't kill you. None of them are over the top, but have a wonderful flow so as soon as your getting tired going up, the down is there for a respite. Those who are more experienced, you have some jumps and technical trails along a few of the trails.

  Fun trail system. The boss trail has some more technical wooden features and a couple small little rock gardens. Yard sale is my favorite trail though. It's got a few doubles, some table tops and a couple little hip jumps. You can carry alot of speed through it.
