The best service, above and beyond any expectation.
I had a horrible experience with a competitor who would not allow me to transfer my car to another location without a hidden service fee, but Hometown Auto Care was extremely supportive, helpful, informative, and everything you would want someone to be while they are taking care of your car. Upon hearing that this competitor would only relinquish the car after payment, Hometown offered to PAY the shop up front for the fee and conveniently add it to their bill so that I would not have to worry about dealing with the competitor.
On top of all of this, I was treated like a friend through the entire process, and not just someone who is being kind to coax money out of you. I was met with sincerity and kindness from Hometowns employee, Sal, who gave me advice with no worry of the bill. I left with the feeling that these guys are here for us, the customers, who are here to rely on them, our neighborhood auto repair shop. These guys are an example of what any great auto repair shop should strive to be, and I will continue to support them as long as I am in this area.
Hometown Auto is an excellent shop, highly recommend. I live in Reston and go to local places for oil changes, state safety inspections, etc. Whenever there is a recommendation for work from the local guys, I take it over to Hometown to #1 see if the work *actually* needs to be done and #2 to get it done correctly at a good price. With some mechanics you sometimes think you are being "taken", never once has that thought crossed my mind when working with Hometown Auto.
