I can’t speak highly enough! He takes time to listen to me/answer my questions and concerns, and is very compassionate, shares my joy with my three earthly babies and sorrow over the two I lost this year.
I started going to Dr. Bell this year. My initial OB-GYN was Dr. Godfrey in Culpeper, who is a superb doctor, but he retired from OB shortly after the birth of my daughter. For my second pregnancy, Dr. Godfrey's office was recommending Dr. Bell. I however, love the Birthing Center at Culpeper Hospital, and I unfortunately made the mistake of going to UVA OB-GYN there. You are welcome to look up my review on their page to read about my experience. I sadly had a miscarriage with my second pregnancy, and was very surprised when we found out I was pregnant again soon after. I initially went to Dr. Godfrey and he helped make a smooth transition for me to start seeing Dr. Bell. I will say there are some cons with Dr. Bell's office, which are sometimes there can be a long wait in the office and I'm not aware of any patient portal, but I give him 5 stars because I had a very traumatic experience with my second pregnancy and he has been nothing but caring and supportive when working with me as a patient. My first handful visits, he always kept in mind that I had a miscarriage and would sit in his office with my husband and me and tell us every positive thing about my current pregnancy. For a woman, like me, that alone is worth the long wait at times and even without the portal his office is great on relaying information quickly that I might need to know. I highly recommend him as a doctor!
I love Dr. Bell! I saw him when I was pregnant with my daughter & it was a pretty complicated pregnancy. He always took the time to talk and answer all of my questions. He made me feel comfortable that I was in good hands and I was! He delivered my healthy 9 pound daughter!
This Dr. Is superb. Would give 5 stars if his phone staff showed only 50% of his sense of care. I understand the importance of screening well. However, it is not impossible to collect good information without being kurt and insensitive.
