(April 9, 2018, 2:17 pm)We feel so lucky that our son attends this school. The staff truly care about their students and encourage a strong sense of community. We feel like family. They also clearly understand the Montessori way and do a great job explaining things when our family is curious for more information/background on the practices. We couldn't ask for more.

(February 27, 2018, 7:33 pm)Mountainside continues to exceed our family’s expectations as our children have grown with Mountainside, beginning at the ages of 2 and 3 years old. The setting is beautiful and the classroom is beautiful, but the guides, administration and support staff are what really make this school stand out. Our children are now ages 6 and 11 and we are very happy with Mountainside and how it has helped our children grow academically, socially and emotionally over the years.
We feel very fortunate to have found Mountainside . The bonus is that our children love Mountainside too! -

(February 22, 2018, 4:29 pm)My daughter is a current student and my son will be next school year. Our family loves Mountainside. The staff, guides and Ms. Edel are wonderful. The Children’s House is beautiful and abundant with activities that are thoughtfully prepared. The sense of community is fantastic and something we find comforting and lacking in other schools.

I love the way they follow the child and adapt their teaching to each student’s interests, needs, and pace of learning. The teachers are so dedicated and truly go the extra mile. They make the school a truly special place. I love that they emphasize outdoor time, environmental stewardship, and interactions with nature. They never fail to respond to my ideas, questions, and concerns with prompt attention, thoughtfulness and action. Our daughter is so happy to be there, and I have observed so many positive changes in her as she has matured from their toddler program to their primary program.

We moved from out of state and I wanted to have him around other kids his age and meet new kids and families. Every single person at Mountainside is wonderful- the families, the kids, the guides- we couldn't ask for more! Our son is so happy there and every morning he's so excited to go to school. Highly recommend!
