Franco’s Pizza

If I could give more stars. I would, hands down the best place in the area. If your missing New York style pizza/food. This is the place to go. If they blinded folded you, you would swear, you stepped into a New York pizzeria. I grew up in New York and this place brought home back to me. The pasta and sauce are homemade. The staff are awesome. The atmosphere is very relaxing, your not rushed out like some places. Please check this place out, you will not regret it. I could give you recommendations on what to get but the list is long. Enjoy and spread the word of this little gem of a place in Hayes,Va.

Did you say PIZZA??? Stopped in for a quick bite. Pizza was ready in fifteen. Perfectly cooked. Beautiful. Flavor, yes. Freshness off the charts. The timing was just right to stop in at 4:30 pm. No waiting. The staff was welcoming, courteous, and kind. We will be back. Pizza of choice, the tossed traditional New Yorker with five toppings and it did not disappoint. It was so good. Leftovers!!!

Our pastor recommended this place to us! We are so glad that he did. We just had the most amazing meal!

Francos located in an unassuming strip mall - but do not be dismayed! Once you enter- you will be enveloped by a lovely selection of Italian music- only surpassed by the beautiful welcoming greeting by your Italian hostess Maria.

The decor is classic cafe style with a bright Italian flair. Beautiful art and wall tiling accent the seating area and fresh greens are in vases on every table.

The service was prompt throughout the meal. The restaurant and rest rooms were clean and tidy.

The food - if you read this far, I will not disappoint.

I ordered the vegetarian Stromboli- enough for 4 people so be prepared. This dish was freshly prepared- olives, spinach, tomato. Broccoli, garlic- a beautiful explosion of color and flavor! It was a work of art!

The garlic knots were the best I’ve had- absolutely beautiful and with the right balance of garlic (not too overwhelming) and gently oven browned to allow for that perfect crisp top with warm soft flavorful middle.

My husband went with a more traditional onion rings (perfectly fried) and a sausage with sauce hot hero. Once again perfectly oven prepared.

To finish the meal we enjoyed a piece of lemon cello cake. Light and flavorful with that perfect hint of tart.

It is a local family owned treasure. Don’t miss it!

The restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. The pizza was unusual in that the veggies on top were crunchy and tasty. The crust is just right - not too thick or thin. The sweet tea was fresh and delicious. Good value for the money.

We have long favored Sal's; but, decided to give Franco's a try after our last carryout at Sal's was so burnt that they tore burnt crust off the pizza before sending it home with us. Franco's is a win! The menu features pizza and calzones, wings, pastas, salads, subs and so much more. Reasonably priced, the food was as good as anywhere else, and no burnt crust is a plus! We did take carryout but I still took note of the dinning room, which is welcoming and clean, and featured sounds of Italy's renowned Andrea Bocelli.
