Tabernacle Pentecostal Church

I joined Tabernacle church Jan 2018. I came to Richmond from Texas. Pr Sam and the church are very welcoming. I felt like being at home. The church gives great importance to the authenticity of the word and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Also you could grab some good food every now and then made by members of the church. They conduct several fun events for the kids and adults throughout the year.

When I have visited this church it has usually been on Saturday evenings when they have children’s church. The children amaze me with their knowledge of the Bible and some perform songs. They are very talented and I always enjoy the evening. Every time I go there they are very Warm and friendly. After the church program they have a social hour and dinner is provided.
It is always very delicious and the socialization is very warm. They had a festival last fall. They had wonderful delicious food and a little fair area for the children. I can always feel the spirit very strong when I visit there. I always have a very delightful experience and want to return.

We enjoyed being part of this church as a family for many years until we moved out of state. Here are few reasons we loved this church:
- ideal to raise kids in a setting that upholds South Indian/ Srilankan’s values
- friendly members that make you feel like family
- strong spiritual leadership not reluctant to take your needs as theirs and pray
- structured Sunday school for kids
- nice sanctuary with all modern amenities
We miss this church...and try to visit them once every year!

I highly recommend this church. Only church in the area focused Southeast Asians. We moved to VA in 2014 and have been attending ever since then.The Pastor and all church members are equally awesome! Holy spirit anointed messages and worship! Our kids love it also!! Church is like a family more than just a fellowship. Everyone genuinely cares about each other! Come check us out! You will not be disappointed!

This is the best and only church in Richmond Virginia area especially for people from South East Asia - India, Sri Lanka area. The pastor is a wonderful person who accepts and welcomes all new members. Church was very friendly and welcoming to new families. There are several famillies from Tamil Nadu where our roots are from. There are also several families from Kerela, Telangana, Andra Pradesh and North India. The church also has several families from Sri Lanka. In fact there is a pastor at the church who is from Sri Lanka who can speak Sinhalese and Tamil. There were about 150 regular attendees of Sunday worship( as of the day I'm typing this) and growing steadily. Great Sunday school teachers, church ministry leaders are very friendly, Children church, VBS, Youth ministries are all great. Annual Retreat is a wonderful event, Annual convention is another excellent 2 -4 day event. Over all the church will make you feel like a family where you will also be a part of the family. If you happened to be in this area, you should visit them.
