All the staff are knowledgeable, cordial and forthright. I purchased a Magnum Low Rider. A very comfortable ride. There were some issues needing a repair and the staff worked with Magnum to get the bike back on the road. Two thumbs up 👍👍.
If you are considering an ebike, and you should. Kul Wheels will get you moving! They have a good stock and will work with you to get the best bike for your needs.
The staff here were super friendly, patient, and helpful with my wife who was shopping for an electric bike. It was a reminder of the advantages of buying a product in-person vs over the internet. You might get some accessories a few dollars cheaper from Amazon, but the personal experience was worth it. They were also not pushy at all; very positive experience.
Knowledgeable, experienced, and incredibly helpful staff. If you are thinking of renting or purchasing an e-bike in Richmond you owe it to yourself to check them out!
Update: be forewarned this is frustrating! But when I emailed them about it, they did resolve it for me. I have to say I am a little disappointed. I had a bike delivered there for assembly as they told me they can build it for me. The bike was delivered on 7/25. On 7/29 I called to see what the status was and they told me it was scheduled to be put together on 7/31 and that they would call me when it was done. On 8/1 I called again because hey, people get busy and calling someone to pick up a bike isn't a huge priority I'm sure. I also know they are closed Tuesday and Wednesdays so I was hoping to pick my bike up that day vs. waiting until the end of the week if it was ready.
When I called 8/1, the person I talked to told me that the only e-bike mechanic that they have is on vacation until 8/8. Ok, fine, can I come just get the bike and accessories and put it together myself then. Nope, can't do that because apparently my bike is on his stand, half finished. So basically my bike is hostage there for 3 weeks in the end because nobody told me that 1) nobody else there knows how to put together an e-bike (or work on one), 2) that the mechanic was going on vacation during the time my bike was scheduled to be put together.
Had I known those things I would have just picked it up from the store and put it together myself with some help. But now that it's half done I can't do that since it's out of the box. I chose to have them assemble it because I don't mind paying for the convenience of not having to do it myself.
I felt like this was pretty unprofessional since it could have been avoided with better communication.
Way too Kul! Our group opted to head East on the bike trail towards Williamsburg. We had a beautiful ride through the woods. Very peaceful and a GREAT ESCAPE! Food and drink stops all along the way. The bike seats were extremely comfortable and we hardly pedaled at all. Highly recommended for solo riders, large groups, or corporate events. We will DEFINITELY be riding the bikes again.
