Had to spend extra days because of flight cancellation. Filed forms with Allianz and received payment. Not what I spent for extra room and board but at least got some money for inconvenience of the airline. I will always insure for situations such as this. No complaints.

We have had Allianz travel insurance now for three years. We travel more than average and I wouldn't leave home without it. Have purchased "Trip Insurance " twice from Allianz since I feel that they offer a complete and fair coverage plan for the traveler. My wife fell and received an injury that prevented our trip to Mexico as documented by her orthopedic surgeon. An evaluation by the doctor and a brief statement on his letterhead sent to Allianz gave us quick and complete return of our funds for cancellation of our trip. Suggestion for policy holders: if you find you must file a claim, take the time to well document the issue and provide substantial evidence. If you do so, Allianz will process your claim rapidly and professionally. Based on my experience, I would give them a 10 out of 10.
