Great little restaurant. Family owned, very good food and prices.
Everything I ordered was hot and fresh tasting. I had the Catfish, Hush Puppies, Baked Potato, and Coleslaw. The New England Clam Chowder was good and not too over- seasoned. Our waitress was very quick to fill our drinks, we never asked for refills. Reasonable prices too. There were quite a few people in the restaurant, but it was not noisy. I could talk across the table in a normal voice. Nice atmosphere.
We had dinner tonight. The broiled seafood platter was good overall. The flounder was very well prepared and very flavorful but the shrimp and scallops were just ok. They tasted fine but weren't to the level of the flounder. The crab stuffed shrimp were good and in between the flounder and others.
The platter came with fries, hush puppies, slaw and soup (I chose the clam chowder). The fries were good. The slaw seemed to be from a package but was good. The hush puppies were simple and simply good, I recommend them. The clam chowder was different than what I'm used to, but quite good. It was heavy on the potatoes with plenty of clams.
Overall I recommend Tony & Georges. It's good comfort food with great service and a nice environment. Give it a try.
Better than average. Steak could use some seasoning. Lemon mirange pie fantastic. Server was nice. No bloody Mary on the menu of drink offerings.
