  My grandfather lived here for 4 years and went through all the stages - Independent Living through Nursing Care. He was 92 when he moved in and became more active and social than we ever thought he would. It was a blessing to have him close by and know that should anything go wrong he would be well taken care of, well fed, and not isolated. Plus he didn't have to worry about taking care of his big house and property anymore and could instead spend time with family, friends, and hobbies. We wish he had moved here sooner to take part in all the community has to offer but are so glad that he did!

  My husband and I moved here a little over a year ago and are so happy we did! The staff are very kind, and the residents are wonderful!! The people are our most favorite aspect of being here. We feel like we are a part of a huge, loving family. There are so many activities, groups, classes, concerts, presentations, etc. to be involved in, and these have really enriched our lives. If anyone is debating on making the move, just do it!

  We moved to Ashby Ponds a few months ago and just LOVE it. It has an upbeat staff always ready to help and the residents are very friendly. They offer hundreds of activities, exercises, tours and amenities. The restaurants offer a very good selection of foods. We are so happy we moved here!

  I moved to Ashby Ponds 5 months ago and can say that for me, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I visited several retirement communities in the area, but found that Ashby Ponds had the right "feel" for me. The apartments are extremely nice, the food is great, the staff are helpful and friendly, but the best part of living here is the people who become your neighbors. I've made many new friends and stay so busy with all the activities offered. I would encourage anyone considering making a move to a retirement community in the Washington, DC area to give Ashby Ponds a serious look. You'll be glad you did!

  Thank goodness we're here! Great new friends, 150+ clubs of all kinds. Health care right here. We are as busy as we like having fun, volunteering, travel a lot and no worries about maintenance, security or anything. Affairs in order, downsizing done, kids are happy and so are we! And all due to a wonderful staff and gorgeous apartment and campus!
