Rosa Bakes (No Storefront)

I wanted to surprise my brother this year with a custom cake that he and anyone with nut allergies (myself included for most nuts) could enjoy equally, but I needed this cake to be 100% vegan as well. Luckily I found Rosa Bakes just in time on the HappyCow app, and her local bakery business stood out by being 100% vegan for the animals (which is truly a rarity in the NoVA area) The entire process from initially ordering the cake to picking it up was within the span of five days fortunately.

Rosa did a spectacular job making this decadent vegan chocolate cake that was soy, gluten, and nut free! For an "everything-free" type of cake, the flavor was appropriately sweet with a deep, rich taste to every part of the custom cake. Nobody that tried the cake could even tell that this was an allergen/animal product-free cake (since it was so delicious and everybody could eat some). I look forward to trying more items like the donuts and cupcakes in the near future!

My daughter was diagnosed with food allergies and we suddenly found ourselves in need of a vegan cake for her birthday. Rosa Bakes came through for us! Not only was the cake delicious, but the communication and service was top notch. Thank you so much for helping to make my daughters birthday memorable!

Our aunt surprised my sister with a cake from here since she knows our entire family is vegan. Boy, what a treat! This was hands down the best plant-based baked good we’ve ever had. Moist, fluffy, and full of flavor.

I looked up the bakery on Instagram and saw the owner donates some of her proceeds to local animal rescues/sanctuaries which just warms my heart even more. PLEASE GIVE HER A TRY - vegan or not, you won’t regret it!!!

A local home bakery based in Centreville that's 100% vegan! HIGHLY recommend her donuts! My favorites were the Coffee and S'mores ones. If you love cupcakes with lots of frosting ~ definitely check out her cupcakes as well, named after different types of flowers.

Rosa was not only a super VEGAN baker but she is a joy, a real treasure of a person. I started out only wanting a vegan cake for my daughter but ended up purchasing a Christmas package which also included beignets and melting snowmen sugar cookies. Everything was a hit! Not only yummy but very well decorated and presented. Nothing but praises for her and her work.
