We hired Doug during a very stressful time, the housing downturn, to help us sell our home. We were not underwater but were close to losing all of our equity and needed advice on whether to sell, rent temporarily and buy again once the market stabilized. The circumstances where our home was located were deteriorating in the neighborhood and we worried about just riding it out. Doug provided us a lot of guidance, encouraged us to talk to other experts too rather than simply push us into following our instincts even though we were already primed to sell. He was more interested in us having good information and making a good choice than a quick sale.
