New Kent Winery & Talleysville Brewing Company

We shared a very positive experience with the staff this evening! I am personally grateful for their hospitality as this was my first experience at a winery. I’m still exploring my palate and the staff was very knowledgeable on the selection!

I and my party stayed until about 10 minutes before they closed and I must speak in the team unity. They worked together to tidy up and sanitize and finished with the space in about 10 minutes!

We are pleased with how smoothly our experience flowed!!

Heading home to Ohio from our trip in Williamsburg, we stopped to check out this winery. The building itself was as beautiful as the day was. Everywhere you looked, there were grape vines.

Maggie, our server, was very knowledgeable about the wines and a great spokesperson for New Kent.
If you go to visit, please look for her.

The patio was huge with lots of seating. We enjoyed the white merlot Maggie recommended. While we only ordered the pretzels appetizer, the other food sounded delicious. We hope to be back sometime soon. Took a few bottles with us back home.

This was a great stop we made on our way back from the Outer Banks. We were semi-lost and needed a kid-friendly place and stumbled upon this gem.

The staff were very friendly and this turned out to be a popular spot for a mid-Saturday. The space offered many options for seating, which was primed for entertainment for all variety, and quaint all at once. Want to relax and listen to some jams? Check. Want to play games like Cornhole or Chess? Done. Want to gab with your friends on cushy seating with the faint hint of lavender tickling your senses? You got it 😉

There was live entertainment (shout out to #WhiskeyBizness) who were excellent! We stopped for a quick drink and a small bite and ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. This place is the only place that serves a White Norton wine and one of three on the East Coast that serves a White Merlot. I have been "off" wine for a while and found myself drinking only that during our visit (sans the quick sips I stile from my spouse's beers). Of what I tried, I enjoyed their beer and am a little disappointed it's not closer but I suspect I'll be back again.

Very attractive venue. Service was great! Went to a Latin dance event, over all good experience.

The four of us were sent out to the tent.

There were several groups that were enjoying themselves.....with children under five.

The noise was impossible to handle, so we left.

My take on this experience?
Don't put adults without children in that habitat. Its toxic. It's not enjoyable. And it's killed my experience here.

The plus???

The White Merlot was very nice.
