La Guadalupana

We dropped by on our way to Virginia and this place is gem. We were there by 11.30 and was perfect timing coz it started to get busier as we left. The food is delicious and the staffs are great. She checked on us if we wanted something else. They have restrooms and open parking infront of the store. There is only few sitting place as it’s inside the grocery store. But will be saving this place to come back again and try more dishes.

This little Mexican restaurant is a gem for a roadside eatery in a rural community. Very authentic. In the kitchen I saw a huge bowl of dough ready to make empanadas, and hot peppers on the grill. Appears to be mostly take-out, but we sat at one of the 3 round tables. The service was great and food came in quickly. The empanadas were fried crispy with a slight corn flour taste, filled with chicken and cheese; you get options on fillings. Very good! The chicken chimichanga was also crispy. Both were covered with that amazing white cheese sauce. Part of the restaurant is a small market with many Mexican grocery items. I'd highly recommend visiting this place.

Awesome Authentic Mexican food !! Traveling through and came across this place , will definitely be back going home! Highly recommend this place !

A hidden gem! One of my favorite stops when visiting back home in Chatham. Delicious authentic Mexican tacos! Homemade tortillas, perfectly seasoned meats, fresh toppings, make for amazing tacos. Staff are super friendly. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, you won’t get better authentic food anywhere in this area! My go to’s are the queso birria or the el Chris Blair taco.

The food was very good. It is more expensive than other Mexican restaurants, but this is authentic Mexican food. The brisket tacos were very good. The beans are the best around.
