  Going here was amazing the people here are lovely and were very nice to me while i visited there and they always looked out for me my experience was amazing there

  I was recommended by my current dentist to have my wisdom teeth removed. I decided to try Gateway Dental since it was in a convenient location and Dr. Cudjoe had good reviews. I had my evaluation scheduled and decided to go ahead and have them pulled the following week by IV sedation. Dr. Cudjoe was upfront about possible things that could happen (sinus issues, numbness, pain etc.) in a calm and reassuring manner. The following week, the procedure went great, no problems. Dr. Cudjoe verified what we were doing and expanded on how the drugs would effect me. The assistants were caring and friendly through the whole thing. I was so happy that it went well after all the horror stories I had heard of people getting their wisdom teeth pulled. I only had to take Ibuprofen a few times and I was good to go. I guess nothing can go perfectly though, I ended up being allergic to a medicine that I took (we are assuming the antibiotic Augmentin) and got a rash/hives all over my body once the steroid they sent me home with was completed and wore off (about a week later). I called the office to find out what the drug was that they gave me during the procedure and the front office said they couldn't tell me until Friday because they don't have access to that information and would have to wait for Dr. Cudjoe (keep in mind this is Monday). Despite me telling her that I only needed the drugs that were put into my IV, she continued to try and tell me the medicine they sent me home with. I know what medicine they sent me home with, I have the prescriptions. The drug in the IV is supposed to make me not remember, hence why I needed them to remind me of the name. It seems completely bizarre to me that SOMEONE there wouldn't be able to tell me what drug they gave me so I could address my allergy. She said she would call back on Friday and then proceeded to try and get off the phone. When I asked her if I could give her a better number she rudely replied "if it is better than the number we have." She was completely unprofessional through the whole conversation. Especially considering the situation, something more should have been done. But honestly, that should be a guarantee. Any medical professional's office or hospital should be able to tell you what drugs they gave you, period. It is a shame considering everyone and everything else was great.

  I called the office back yesterday and reached different staff members. The two ladies I interacted with, Vanessa and Mindy, were so helpful and got everything taken care of for me. They went above and beyond what I asked for and were very apologetic for my previous experience.

  I really like Gateway dental and Orthodontist. When I was told that I needed braces, I was very nervous. On the day of my consultation, right when I walked into the office I knew that this was the place for me. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and they never keep you waiting for very long. Dr. Mekouar is probably what I like most about Gateway. He truly gets to know his patients and takes the time to talk to them during their appointment. Now that I have braces, I am in the office regularly. Its nice to know that the people working on you truly know what they are doing. I strongly recommend Gateway!!!
