My mother has lived at the Virginia Home for over 8 years now and I am so thankful for this facility! Before making the difficult decision to place her in a full scale nursing facility my father and I toured countless nursing homes, with her even having to be at one for a while before a spot opened up at The Virginia Home, and none of them come anywhere close to being as good. This home is unlike most where here the residents are younger and here for many more years of their lives and the staff and administration understand that and are constantly hosting events and activities for the residents so they are active and enjoy life the best they can. They even have a transportation department that will bring her to my house for special occasions or out to the mall if we want to go shopping! No place is perfect but anytime an issue has arisen (which has not been often) it was quickly and easily resolved. I am in my early 30's and I am SO thankful to The Virginia Home for the ability to live my life and know that my mother is being well taken care of!
