Dr. Steven J. Welton, M.D.

I’ve had the best experience with Dr. Welton, he is the first doctor that I’ve spoken too thus far- that I’ve actually felt like is actively listening, engaged, and I am being fully heard. I feel extremely grateful to have finally found a doctor of whom I feel as if I can truly trust and will fully educate me through out every step of the way- with no judgement. All while trying to look at things from your point of view, and actually takes the steps to get to know you, and doesn’t treat you as just another person walking through the door- resulting in helping you and your specific needs in the best way he possibly can. He answers any questions or concerns you may have and understands problems or confusion may arise- I am thankful to be able to call him my doctor as my last psychiatrist of almost 15 years retired, and finding a new doctor seemed impossible for months, I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Welton is experienced, compassionate, realistic and helpful. I have had some bad experiences with mental health practitioners in the past and found it difficult to trust healthcare providers to take my symptoms seriously or effectively treat them. I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Welton. He's a good listener and cuts right to the chase. He explains things clearly, presents options, discusses possible outcomes and future next steps, and is ultimately very respectful and receptive of my healthcare decisions. I feel empowered instead of patronized working with him.

I used to see Dr. Welton and really enjoyed him. As a young female, I was slightly concerned to have a male psychiatrist as my first doctor. I immediately felt welcomed and did NOT feel judged. Highly recommend this educated, kind and helpful doctor. Dr. Welton pulled me through so much. Thankful for him.

Dr. Welton is an excellent psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for about a year and recommend him!
