  I graduated from 5th grade around 4 years ago. I really loved this school. I am now in 8th grade and I still wish I could go back to this school. Mrs. Wilcox was my Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher and she was amazing. I had Mrs. Graninger (I think that's how you spell her name) and she was very funny and an outstanding teacher. In 3rd grade I has Mrs. East, and she was incredible. In 4th grade I had Mr. Hoffman and he was great. Finally, in 5th grade I had Mrs. Sparr. She was questionable but she definitely got me ready for middle school. I can't believe I'm almost in high school now, that's just crazy. Anyway, I love this school, and everything about it. I would recommend this school to anyone.

  Amazing staff!! Very upbeat and concerned for all students! On point with special needs kiddos and clearly care about the entire student population and their families. Can't say enough great things about this school!

  This school was great. I 'graduated' last year and every year I went I was very enjoyable. All of the teachers are great.

  My child loved it! But the only problem is the new library teacher. She was extremely rude to my child.

  Wilderness Elementary School was an excellent experience for my child. The only dark spot at this school is the music teacher: Robert Truoccolo. Instead of encouraging children to appreciate music, his bad-tempered approach results in students who can't wait to get out of his presence.
  
  On three occasions, my child came home from school complaining about the rude behavior of Mr. Truoccolo. According to my child, he shouts excessively and is overly strict. Is this bad report the result of a simple dis-connect between my child and Mr. Truoccolo? Evidence suggests no. It is not simply a personal dislike because I have heard similar reports from my child's friends.
  
  As a great example, during a yearly school tour - where parents get a chance to visit the classrooms and interact with teachers - my wife and I visited Robert Truoccolo's music classroom. We had spent time in my child's home classroom, cafeteria and gymnasium - speaking to his various teachers. They were all delightful, friendly and helpful. When we entered Robert Truoccolo's music classroom, the teacher remained sitting - arms crossed and scowling. He did not acknowledge our presence as we looked at the classroom. I would have liked to speak to him, but it was a distinctly different atmosphere. Instead of being delightful, friendly and helpful, he was unpleasant, unfriendly and disinterested.
  
  Instead of fostering a life-long love of music, Mr. Truoccolo's heavy-handed and rude approach makes children hate music class. Music is one of life's pleasure and this is certainly not how it should be taught. Mr. Truoccolo needs to change his approach or take up another profession. How many children at Wilderness Elementary School have been ruined on music because of him?
