(December 12, 2018, 9:44 am)I love it! My one year old started about a month ago and I was nervous since she had only been cared for at home. My daughter has adjusted well because of the staff at COA. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. From my very first encounter with Miss Jessica giving me the overview of the daycare to the tour by Miss Amber, I have nothing but positive things to say. I get daily pictures from her teacher, Miss Jenavieve, of their activities and a daily report at the end of the day so I know exactly how her day went as far as mood, diaper changes, bottles, food , and snacks. Sign language, art, and music are a part of her curriculum! My daughter loves her classmates and her teacher! I would recommend COA because the teachers actually care (I know because I watch them on the live camera from my phone every day) and because I love the fact that the ratio is 1:4. Very very happy in our short time here!

(May 25, 2018, 6:45 pm)My boys have been attending this academy for two weeks now. I must say I am impressed with the whole staff and the way they care for my boys. I have a preschooler and a school age. My preschooler on day 5 already knew how to spell his name fully☺️ Big ups to Ms. Brianna for that. Also I feel very secure in the fact that when I pick my boys up from COA that they always tell me that they had a awesome day at school and can’t wait to go back the next day! Great director, Great staff, Great daycare/Academy!!

(April 17, 2018, 7:18 pm)My three grandson started going to Doc Stone COA in Oct 2017. Transitioning from a home base day care to a center was challenging for them. I had several one on one with their teachers for the first two weeks until we were all in sink with their adjustment to the center. One of the main reasons I choose this center was because of the centers hours and because they have a “live” camera called Always Close By (there is an additional fee for this service) to see their day. The teachers are very personable and caring. All my grands have made HUGE strides since being here.
Now the negatives -
The cameras do not show the entire classroom areas or the main outside play area and the camera tend to have connection issues throughout the day where the cameras appear black.
In January 2018, a policy went into effect capping how many hours your child could be there (10) or face a $20 per child fee, even if its 1min over 10 hrs. This policy is truly unfair because in the DMV area no parent can drop off and be back in 10hrs to pick their child up. If the centers core hours are from 5:30am-7pm how can an additional fee be required if you are within these hours? Because of this policy I’ve had to make HUGE adjustments for care.
Kim, Amber, Phyllis, Von, Lexi, Bri, Kesha, and Jordan have made me, my grands, and their mom feel like family and we consider them as family too. Choosing this center is one of the best decisions I could have made for my grands.

(March 13, 2018, 12:08 pm)We have had a great experience here with our daughter's teachers. She has Miss Shabina currently and sees Miss Lexi in the afternoons sometimes and she absolutely loves them. You can tell that they have a genuine love for the students and care about them deeply. I appreciate the time and effort that all of the teachers put in. She loves going to school! We also appreciate the director Miss Kim. She is helpful and always does her best to answer any questions we have.

(March 7, 2018, 8:26 am)I absolutely love Children of America now, when my children first went 2 years ago Ms. Destin was there and we loved her but then she transferred and she I started having issues with my account and different things with the Director Sheila and then she left and it got a little better with Danielle but then my son started having issues and I kept being told that everything was ok but it wasn’t and he wanted to leave because of this but when Mrs. Kim became the director my sons issues and concerns were fixed, anytime I have questions or concerns they are answered in a timely fashion and I can always come to the director for anything and my children love their teachers there
