Side Street Cantina

This is not a very big restaurant. But their authentic Mexican cuisine could fill stadiums faster than the Rolling Stones selling tickets to their concerts! Happy hour here is probably hands down the best value for your buck! AND YES THEY HAVE TACO TUESDAY! Did I mention that the tacos (beef or chicken) are only 2 yes two dollars! Side Street Cantina has probably the largest tequila selection I have ever seen, as well! The staff are extremely friendly, nice and just great people! Their menu is packed with a variety of delicious dishes that what ever you choose to devour, guarantee will have you wanting more!

Best beans I have had in Hampton Roads. Loved the fish tacos as well. A great Mexican hole in the wall to definitely try.

Best Tacos I’ve ever had, and I’m a big boy so I know a thing or three. It’s been approximately two hours since I consumed these heaven sent tacos and I’m still in shock. This is the type of the place where you have to go back the next day - that good! Service was incredible, food was authentic and came with various sauces.

I’m upset that I’ve only discovered this place after being a 3 year VB resident. Will never spend a dime at any other Mexican restaurant in the area.

Good food. Good service. Not too bad on prices. We went to a different place on Norfolk ave first, but the wait was ridiculous for a Wednesday night, so we tried this spot. Glad we did. Definitely would go back.
