It's a nice fishing spot I've heard in spring-early June, I haven't gotten to experience the good fishing yet but hopefully next year I will, salmon fishing also occurs here during fall-winter seasons. the park in itself is alright, decent amount of space, good parking, good river access and space in the summer.
Great place to cool off on a hot summer day. There were some guys jumping from the bridge while we were there but it’s pretty sketchy with the water being only about 8 feet deep and there being a large trunk just below the surface in the optimal landing area. Parking is hard to find on hot afternoons.
Our 8 and 9 year old grandsons love this park. On the west side of the road is a boat launch with deeper water and a rope swing. On the east are swings, a nice rest room, and a series of shallow rapids perfect for a kid's kayak. Life jackets and helmets are a good idea. There are also little pools for hunting tadpoles and minnows. The large smooth rocks are a little tricky to navigate for older folks but great for stacking into dams for small protected areas for younger children. Our boys are kayakers but can't wait to try the rope swing.
So many rocks and so many colors! Wildlife and nature un abundance. Always peaceful and spacious. A nice place to chill 😎
Very clean small beautiful park not far north of Vancouver. It has areas for all ages and for those that would like to fish. Also dog friendly so bring the hole family with you!
