Great campground! The park Ranger was very helpful when checking in. Upper loop camp hosts were very nice. Site 21 does have a slight slope to it, but it wasn't a problem for us. And it goes great with 20 if you are camping with friends as they are open to each other.
Really enjoyed this campground but recently learned it will go through some construction soon.
A beautiful campground! Great beach; able to kayak from the boat launch; gorgeous sunset from the bluff; clean bathrooms & plenty of water stations.
I have been camping and recreating at Fort Flagler for 45 years. The beautiful beach and quiet location and unbeatable! Biking, fishing, boating, beachcombing, walking and hiking are all available. If you are hoping to camp, reserve a spot well in advance as they fill up early. Both the lower and upper campgrounds are enjoyable depending on whether you like more sun or privacy. Upper #13 has a great view!
Spot #78 has mystery footsteps at night. There was nothing outside causing it. So if you like haunted...spot 78 is for you.
