Very nice and healthful service Focus on equipment quality
Bob has serviced my 46' power boat for 15+ years and over this time he has solved all my boats myriad problems with integrity and efficiency; He takes pride in doing the job right the first time around. Over the years he has made many timely suggestions on preventive maintenance that have proven invaluable. I can recommend his services for anyone who values the old time work ethic, coupled with seasoned professional knowledge and integrity. Recommend without reservation.
While I was on the hard Bob made time twice to update my head, installing the Jabsco pump assembly I had purchased and replacing a leaking masserator and effluent hoses that were badly clogged. It was tight quarters and a way complicated hose system that he and helper managed to remove and replace with a much simpler system. Difficult process that justified the expense.
I purchased two CMP22200S solar panels from First Mate Marine this spring, got them mounted on an arch and took for a test spin last week at anchor. The panels performed better than expected, finding myself energy-sustainable the entire week, with the fridge running 24/7, forced air heat, charging 2 computers and a phone, Ham radio, lights, propane solenoid...the 3 Firefly batteries were full by noon. It was a sunny week admittedly, but the efficiency of these panels was most impressive. Further, Bob at First Mate Marine, whom I met at the Seattle Boat Show in January, was very responsive with mounting ideas and explaining the various options in panels. Very happy to recommend First Mate Marine.
I had an awesome experience with Bob from First Mate Marine. I wanted to install a large solar array on my sailboat but had no idea where to start so I called up Bob and he came right out and helped me design my ideal system. I am an avid do it yourselfer so I was adamant on installing it all myself and bob couldn’t have been more helpful. He gave me the initial design, ordered all my panels, wiring and provided technical support throughout my entire install. He really made this process easy with his extensive knowledge and willingness to help anytime I had a question. Definitely my best experience working with someone in the marine industry hands down!
