I love that most of the paths are pretty flat and wide. They seem to be very well maintained. The trail markers were really good and you could expand your walk or shrink it based on what you feel like at the time. The coyote trail was having some construction when I visited October 2021, but it was a very localized area so you could easily still take the trail and enjoy the walk. I think there are more than 28 miles of trails. You might find yourself sharing the path with a horse once in a while but that's okay other than you might have to look out for their byproduct in your walks.

My first time and we loved it!! It's a Huge park and the well maintained paths were great for a nice walk. It has an outdoor arena that looks to be well maintained as well. I don't know if you can use it anytime you want though

Nice weekend hike in the heart of Kirkland. Almost flat ground so you can go with kids. We took a big loop to cover about 3 miles trail. Parked car near Benjamin rush elementary school and walked trail beside high voltage power lines as there was a horse riding event. Discover pass is required to park car in its lot.

Did the Raven tail today, it is about one mile all the way around. We were lucky enough to get to see a few cool birds on this trail. Good trail if you're a bird watcher. Fairly flat most of the way with a slight hill in the middle. Dogs are allowed on leash. Be aware these are also horse trails so if you have a dog make sure it is well trained, can be recalled, and will not run up to and scare a horse.

A literal Salal wonderland. I was happy to see so many young-medium age cedars among the understory, still a vibrant green after all the drought. I was surprised to see a few evergreen huckleberry bushes. You really don't see many of them if at all in this area; unless your right by the Puget sound like Meadowdale Beach park.
