Henderson Academy of Music

I signed my daughter up for both singing and guitar classes due to her interest and passion for music. Being a musician myself I knew that it would take a very skillful school/teacher to get the best out of her. That’s when I found Henderson Academy of Music. Not only were the hourly rates great but they really helped me find the best instructor who also works around our schedule and even comes to my home instead of me having to take my daughter somewhere probably far. These were huge plusses for me in deciding to go with this school. MiKayla (instructor) is an excellent teacher and gets along outstandingly well with my daughter and works as a great motivational person which my daughter can look up to. She is very responsible, has the best vibe and I can tell she loves what she does. This all works out incredibly wonderful for me and I see day by day how my daughter’s knowledge skill and passion for music grows. I am more than happy to have chosen Henderson Academy of Music and would recommended it t anyone specially beginners!

I can’t say enough about the professionalism of Henderson Academy and the convenience it has brought to my family. Not only is Jeff, my kids guitar instructor, fabulous with my children, but communicates well with me and is VERY flexible with scheduling. Also, the rates are very competitive and ease of making monthly payments directly through Henderson’s website store is a big plus. I would recommend this company to ANYONE, especially those with crazy schedules, who just simply do not have anymore time to run their child to another sport, activity, or music lesson.

My kids have been taking lessons with David for about 6 weeks. They are just little kids, and I just wanted to expose them to music theory and let them have some fun. They did group lessons in a classroom in another school for several months. The group lessons caused competition and bad feelings among the students. Switching to private lessons at home has made such a huge difference that I am just over the moon about it. David made sure my kids could each play a song after their first 30-minute lesson. Ever since then my kids play the piano constantly. I mean they even get up in the middle of the night and play. I never have to ask them to practice. David also noted that my 2 kids have different learning styles and so he teaches each one differently. David respected my choice to just make it fun for them, and in so doing in only a few weeks each child can play several songs with both hands. This is leaps and bounds past months of group lessons in a classroom. I wish we had switched to Henderson Academy of Music sooner!

Our kids get lessons from James. James is an excellent teacher. He is patient with our 1st grader (son) who appreciates music and still often finds ways to be playful. James started teaching him piano and now he is teaching my son to play the drums. It is fun watching my son gradually learn more. My daughter has been learning piano for the past year and she has improved her skills very well. Thanks James!

We've used Henderson Academy of Music for a few years now and love it! We have 3 children between the ages of 6-10 years old. They all enjoy their piano lessons. Henderson Academy teachers are very professional and courteous. I really appreciate that they adapt lessons to suit each child's individual learning style. We have one child who has a natural ear for music and will pick out tunes quickly by listening to them. He enjoys making up his own songs and our teacher Wesley does a marvelous job keeping him interested in piano and writing his own music. Another child is drawn to the more classical piano style. He prefers playing familiar tunes like Turkish Rondo and Moonlight Sonata. Wesley brings him music scores that keep him focused and challenge him. We recently purchased a house in another city. When I found out that Henderson Academy of Music has teachers available near our new house I was thrilled! It's been a joy to work with them. I have and will continue to recommend them to all our friends and family.
