Virtuous Grappling

While looking for a place to train while visiting from VA I came across Virtuous Grappling. This gym lives up to it’s name. The staff is personable and accommodating and the gym culture is exactly what you’d hope for as a visitor. No Ego. No BS. The fundamentals coach Billy is genuinely a good dude and Cody was super cool during our introduction.
If you’re local and looking for a place to train I recommend this place as their coaching staff listens to its students, its safe, and you receive one-on-one feedback from the coach.
If you’re visiting like me and you just wanna get on the mat the crew is welcoming and will offer you the level of training you’re looking for.

Love this gym! Super inviting and friendly environment. Highly recommend joining this gym for anyone who is interested in Jiu Jitsu.

Everyone was so kind and my son loved his class. We definitely plan on going back. We have one more free class and then will decide if we'll continue on, however, I can already tell we really like it. The instructor(s) were super friendly and guided my son very well since it was his first time. The kids were also super kind and many reached out to help and show him how to do the things new to him. The lady at the desk answered all my questions and was kind and helpful.
The space is large and adequate for the number of kids participating. Finding the exact door to the jiu-jitsu space took a little looking but wasn't difficult.
Overall, so far, we are really impressed!
Update: 9 months later we still love it here.

Awesome BJJ gym. Instructors are great that teach the kids discipline while having fun. They teach kids of any age and adults. If interested definitely check them out. They offer an initial 2 week trial period that doesn't cost anything!

I had been thinking of trying BJJ for a while and decided to go to Pacific Northwest Jiu-Jitsu to see if it was something I would enjoy. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by everyone. It was a surprising introduction because of the incredibly welcoming atmosphere. I was given a lot of focused attention that first day, and I never felt that people helping me would rather be doing something else - this was from the instructor to the more experienced white belts. I left my first class sore, tired and humbled... and I was hooked. I’ve been going to train 2 to 3 days a week for about 4 months now and I look forward to class and being a part of the community every time. I wholeheartedly recommend Pacific Northwest Jiu-Jitsu if you’re looking for camaraderie, a challenge and great people
