Alta Vista Integrated Life Services

I am the father of 2 special needs boys, a 17 year old boy with Down Syndrome, and a 14 year old boy who is autistic and non verbal. Last year in March, my wife and their mother passed away, leaving a huge hole in our lives. I had a hard time trying to find help with everything closed due to the pandemic. A friend found Alta vista in Port Orchard, and the staff worked hard to get us approved for respite care and therapy. Now, not only am I able to get away for a few hours knowing that they are safe, they are also learning and thriving. They both get ABA therapy while playing games and having fun. My youngest is a handful, needs constant supervision and care, and he thrives while there. The staff works hard with him and the other kids, on simple and complex goals, giving them the life skills that they will need in this world.. And, they are a great source of information, helping parents navigate thru the hoops of bureaucracy to get the services our kids need. Ps, I am also able to get therapy there, something I didn't think I would need, but it turns out I did. If you are looking for respite care, or ABA services in home or at the clinic, I highly recommend them.

My adult brother & sister have been attending Alta Vista for a year now. The staff is caring, considerate and professional. They work hard at helping my siblings with their special needs. I have recommended this agency to numerous folks in the community and will continue to do so.

My son attends the preschool for almost a year. Despite having another business that had merged under them leave and steal, they were able to regroup with parent and community support in less than a week and continue to offer excellent educational and therapeutic support. My son is a busy young man who didn’t care for learning. Alta Vista made learning fun. They are communicative and help parents to feel involved. I love what they are doing.
