This is an incredible resource for those who want to learn more about family history. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and willing to teach as well as help. Everyone should try it. I did and couldn’t have been more happy.
Easy to get started with the help of the volunteers. Wonderful free community resource, worth it to come stop by.
I have been doing genealogy for 30 + years, and this was my first time at a Family History Center. I loved it! I felt welcomed, and received some help I needed. Sister Crow was as sweet as she can be. Thank you for making me feel at home!
Just wanted to share that dNA testing and getting some training at the Family History Center in Tacoma has blown the lid off of some major things for me and my siblings. I also found my grandmother’s grave site. My mother had been looking for years just so she could put a marker or tombstone on it. Now, my siblings and I are honored to do it for her. I suggested to my mother that we would most likely keep looking before she passed. It was a very emotional time at the Family History Center that day, and they called it a breakthrough. I set a training up for students so they could learn how to start tracing their roots, and I left there in tears, myself.
