  Came here on a breezy early August (2022) Sunday. Serene and peaceful. The prairie this time of year is lovely and bright with black eyed Susans, purple coneflowers, and countless other flora. Sadly the pond itself was nowhere to be found - extended dry spell perhaps? Saw a redwing blackbird, sandhill crane, some swallows, and a few crows.

  We participated in the Monarch tagging. It was a great educational experience with some passionate Audubon people. Great job!

  What a wonderful place to visit!
  
  Though there were no geese while I was there (which I find quite humorous), I did see plenty of other feathered friends. The Red-Winged Blackbirds seemed especially curious and friendly, and one came very close to landing in my hand (which, of course, I did not get on video...).
  
  There are a few benches here, a very unique shelter, and some informational signs. You couldn't ask for a better area to sit and birdwatch.
  
  Two Pokestops here, no gyms.

  Really beautiful and quiet place. Perfect to watch Waterfowl and various birds. Little parking turnouts are available and there's a small road (with dead end) besides the pond area that is also good to drive and watch the birds and come back the same way to join the main road. Have visited twice and seen many birds like tundra swans, canada geese, snow geese, many ducks, red winged black birds and much more. Good for some quiet time, one can eat packed lunch in the car while watching the birds. Beautiful.

  Great place for a casual hike, bird watching and relaxing. There are benches and some really nice little lookout points. There are paths for hiking, parking areas, and trail maps at the entrance. Came here in the fall and it was really beautiful. Can only imagine how it looks with flowers in bloom during the spring.
