I had a GI bleed and they did a CT scan and kept it under control until I had to be transferred to another hospital. The care was exceptional.

Mixed experiences make this one tough to review objectivity. There are a lot of great folks doing great work in this ER. They were spectacular in how they cared for my daughter during a respiratory scare. On the other hand, when I was dealing with some kidney stones things were not so spectacular. First and third visits were as pleasurable as one could possibly imagine when dealing with a moving stone. During the second and fourth visits I was treated like a criminal until the people on staff decided it would be worth thier time to run the necessary tests and determine I was not just there to seek drugs. One medical professional on staff reported the results to me as if he was shocked I was really in pain. He went on to say the results meant "he had to treat my nausea, then we'll see about the pain." I apologize in advance for the details (we are reviewing an ER...). I guess he was finally convinced after the nausea medicine was administered and I was still vomiting profusely from the pain. I would hate to think how a real drug addict is treated. I will save my social /political thoughts for the appropriate venue. However, I must believe these folks entered thier chosen field to help others. I hope there are enough folks paying attention to help foster a culture of caring 100% of the time in this ER. I know it is a hard job and I appreciate the great work done by so many in this and every ER. Bottom line, caring 50% is the time is not okay. I do not wish an ER trip on anyone but I will seek to share a more positive review when the opportunity arises.
